The EACL Spring Schools in Chinese Linguistics
The aim of the EACL Spring Schools in Chinese Linguistics is to provide a opportunity for MA and PhD-students affiliated to European universities to be exposed to areas in Chinese linguistics to which they are not exposed in their home institution; and to make them aware of the expertise in Chinese linguistics present in Europe. So far we have held twelve Spring schools: in Leiden (2006), München (2007), Amsterdam (2008), Moscow (2009), Bochum (2010), Paris (2011), Berlin (2012), Prague (2013), Rome (2014), Amiens (2016), Naples (2019), and Olomouc (2025). The 13th EACL Summer School in Chinese Linguistics will take place in Stuttgart (July 27 – July 31, 2026).
The Chinese Linguistics in Europe Series
In the Chinese Linguistics in Europe Series we publish volumes which contain a refereed selection of papers that were presented at the bi-annual conferences of our Association. So far, we have published two volumes: Chinese linguistics in Budapest (2006) and Chinese Linguistics in Leipzig (2008). The books can be ordered through a form which can be found at the bottom of this website. EACL members can buy the books with a discount.
